About Toulouse

Toulouse is a nice city in the south-west of France. Here we propose you a non exhaustive list of places to visit:

• the Basilica Saint Sernin, the Church of the Jacobins, the Cathedral Saint Etienne, the Chapel la Grave and many smaller churches in the city center

• the River Garonne, the Prairie des Filtres, the Espace EDF Bazacle, the Chaussée du Bazacle (see the Promenade du Dr Charles Rose and the Promenade Henri Martin)

• the Abattoirs (modern art museum), the Bemberg Foundation (paintings from the Renaissance to the early 20th Century), the Château d'eau (photography museum), the Museum (natural sciences museum), the Cité de l'Espace (space museum), Airbus and Aeroscopia Museum (aeronautical factory & museum, combined tours)

• the Canal du Midi (tip: renting a bike and going towards the south-east direction, for instance till the Ecluses de Castanet, Vic or further away), the Hill Pech David with sometimes a beautiful view on the Pyrénées chain of mountains (can be accessed from the University by Cable Car)

• the Markets at Victor Hugo, at les Carmes, and at Saint-Aubin on Sunday (local food products), see also this site
